Angela Smith, PhD

Angela Smith, PhD, MPH, CHES serves as the director of Jefferson Comprehensive Care System, Inc. (JCCSI) Special Programs Division in Pine Bluff, Arkansas where she oversees HIV/AIDS programs for the Ryan White Treatment Modernization Act Part C, D, and F; Center for Disease Control and Prevention; and Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration. She is certified by the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc. In the summer of 2008, she served as a Fellow at the University of California, Los Angeles, Anderson School of Business in the Johnson & Johnson, UCLA Healthcare Executive Program. She has worked as an administrator for over 10 years serving in a number of capacities to include health education, evaluation, grant writing, quality improvement, and administration. She has presented on a local, regional, and national level at conferences such as the American Public Health Association, United States Conference on AIDS, Arkansas Tri-State HIV/AIDS Conference, National Minority AIDS Council, and the Arkansas Society of Public Education. She has been instrumental in creating a partnership in one of their clinical sites with the Arkansas Vocational and Rehabilitation Services to provide eligibility services.
